Thought the whole point was that Dennis and Bill hire drivers who don't mind the drinking so long as it's not advertised?

They always pull a few miles before each ground to clear the coaches of cans etc before the old bill board.

Re: no drink on hornchurch coach
My last journey on National Express Inverness to London told us that they had very powerful cameras that can easily pick up anyone drinking alcoholic. Been that way for years.

I just popped some Zopiclone around 11pm pm and theyou worked so well that my son slept also all the way back.

Even the liv street Shenfield trains do not allow alcohol since tfl took over the route.

So glad I gave the wretched puke up but really do feel for the responsible drinker who cannot have a drink due to the selfish unruly knows misbeha5

Every coach company we have ever used for sporting events (football, cricket, racing) have always said you ain't allowed drink on board ... and in the next breath they say we have to say that... and that its basically down to the driver... he always gets tipped well so never a problem

Re: no drink on hornchurch coach
Excuse my ignorance but what is a transport commission? It's a private hire ffs how can they stop you?

I opened a beer on the back of the national express once and the driver pulled over immediately and stopped the bus turned the engine off and said he'd chuck me off if I didn't stop drinking.

What an overaction I didn't even realise you were t allowed to drink and I only had one can. Cock

Not sure about National Express but they can on Megabus. Once I got one of their coaches up to Newcastle for an away game at St James and a friendly Geordie offered me and my mate a beer. On the same coach an African gentleman who had also been drinking on the journey, threw up on another passenger.
